Monastically Sloped Wormhole

Whoda thought I would make myself a Simpsons avatar? So, here I am, but I look ...um... younger. What a blow.

My hair looks more like this, and it also needs a cut badly.
Now I get to the good stuff- here is 'Carl', a cartoon character.
And here is a knitted baby Carl costume. Please check out the chest hairs and tattoo on the little pink arm.
And finally, a crocheted bicycle. Actually this looks pretty much like my real bike except the color is wrong and my tire is fatter.
And enough with this foolishness.

We are in the middle of Birthday Month around here. I had the nerve to plan my kids to be Leos, like me- sort of a plan to take over the world doing my own little bit. So three of us are Leos here and now I resent the whole Big Picture because we must celebrate one after the other, with MY birthday being the very last. By then everyone is bummed out about the whole thing and I am a forgotten entity UNLESS I jump in and plan a big extravaganza for all of us and demand that I do not want PRESENTS, which is of course a big fat lie and I feel real sorry for myself when I don't get any. But we are one down and three to go (counting my niece who I haven't seen to give her present yet.) Here is what I will probably get since I have been making little iPhone noises out into the universe.
Yeah, it's made of SAND and called a sandiphone, of all things.

Next is a picture lifted from an exhibit of tiny people set out in the world doing normal tiny things.

And Maayr Yeager's exhibit of merit badges from the scouting world on becoming a woman. How did I ever miss this?

And of course a couple of YouTubes:
First, a trio of retro singin' and dancin'. SCARY STUFF. Sorry I lost my gingham shorts back in 1957.

The next is a commercial- stick with it to the end.

The good news is I ran out of yarn on the current baybee sweater. I has decided to make this one larger than the others so he/she/it doesn't outgrow all of them at once but in doing so, I wasn't plannning for the change in size when I bought the yarn. Unfortunately I have to buy a whole other skein to finish ONE INCH on one sleeve, so I will do that Monday morning when the store opens.

For any of you that I have planned on meeting up with at the Lowell Quilt Festival, count me out. I am leaving for Florida on Tuesday and won't be back until Saturday night at midnight. I will try to get up to Lowell on Sunday but by then I bet most of you revelers will be on your own ways home. But if you are still going to be around, drop me a note and we'll see if you can talk me into a quick trip to see what is happening, have a Lime Rickey and a laugh, then be on our way.

It's stepping on 10 PM here, and I know that on at least two channels that CSI will be starting soon, I am out of here!
