Erotically Embossed Ephemera

Like I don't have anything else to do but sit here.

I just finished charging my phone, charging the iPod, charging the laptop, charging the camera battery. Still to work on is the charge on the TomTom, the visit to the bank for cash, the sitting at the computer to pay all the outstanding bills before I leave, hemming the pants, and packing a somewhat coordinated week's worth of clothes for temperatures ranging from 35 to 75. Tomorrow I am leaving for Santa Fe for a week. Should be a great time, and hopefully I will be somewhere near a connection and can report on how things have changed there in 20 years. (Frankly I bet I won't be too happy.)

I have pretty much cleaned out the refrigerator with tonights dinner, have left directions for Molly dinners, and cash for the cleaning folks. I think I have covered all bases BUT I got a call today...

Today my daughter called and there is a slight hitch in her pregnancy, She has placenta previa so has been told to rest more, stay off her feet now and then. Maybe this will fix itself, maybe not, but at least she is being carefully monitored now that something is wrong. The baby is apparently blissfully unaware there is a problem and is very active and busy in there learning to kick box. AND it is a baby girl so there will be no more beige knitting here. And we can use the pronoun until an actual name is picked. Here in front of me I have a list of MY choices- oddly enough, no one is interested.

Back on the homefront, I also finished up all my images for the new webpage. The stuff I had to work with was pretty awful but I finally got all the pictures resized to make viewers happy. I also changed all their backgrounds to white and made them all 5" on their longest sides so they will be small and I can have room to grow. I got them burned to a disc and mailed out finally to the web lady. Here's a few Oldies but Goodies from the Vintage Fabrics Collection:

Don't they look better? Oh- I forgot, you didn't see them in the 'before' state. I've gone through 4 digital cameras since I first started taking these, and as I am learning more and handling both the camera and the software better, I can see how dreadful the first attempts were. I was finally forced into using Photoshop and got pretty fast once I figured out my 'formulas'. And today I got a notice to upgrade to Photoshop Elements 6. The tutorials looked very easy, and it looked like it now has it's own desktop rather than being all jumbled up with everything else. I wish I could re-photograph all of them but I don't have a set-up any longer for that, especially not large pieces. All there of these are long ago sold and gone- two of them I know about, the third I don't have a clue who has it. Word to new artists out there- keep track of your customers!

The good thing about this trip is that I don't have to shave my legs- we are well into pants season! Now I have to go whittle down the pile of clothes I am trying to take so there is room for all these bloody chargers.
