ay yi yi

Hey- here's a picture of my new home! I am right there behind the stem hoping that the rain doesn't come back! Yeah, I still am not into the house so this will have to do for awhile. We didn't pass the town inspection today because a light wasn't yet installed in the laundry and there is something wrong with the lock on the oven- who the hell has a lock on their oven??? Also, seems that on the plan the dishwasher was on the right of the sink, but it was actually installed on the left. Geesh. It's a problem...

And last, the kitchen with the IceStone countertops. I gotta tell you you could lose a small animal on this countertop- it is absolutely wonderful- I am so used to leaving greasy fingerprints on the damn granite at home and it always looks terrible. This stuff is completely recycled glass imbedded in concrete. This particular color seems to be heavy on beer bottles which is sure fine with me.

Here is the pile o' stuff in the studio to be dealt with, as of today this whole corner has been dealt with. Yea.

I knew you couldn't live without the cockroach pictures. Finally.

Never got the picture of myself in the dumpster- probably because I was so far IN it you wouldn't see me anyway.

The new wallpaper in the bedroom (it's actually silver backed grasscloth- comes across pretty much as white. Oh well.

The rest of the plan is for metallic white paint in the whole living room/dining area/kitchen. I think I have gone overboard on reflective and bright surfaces probably because I have noticed lately that I cannot see very well. And afterall, this is sunny Florida and it should be bright as you can stand.

Now I am off to return some fabric samples and visit the Goodwill store again to drop off a few more pieces of the tropical barkcloth I had everywhere before the renovations. And hopefully tonight I will be able to steal a bit more wifi from whichever neighbor forgot their password so I can send this out. If I had better wifi I would send it all to eBay.
