Two more parties today and I then can go find the airport!  Thanksgod for all the Russian Jews who drive cabs today.  Here are TY and me (I'm on the right) ready for the brunch we have to attend in 1 hour.  Hope she makes bacon...

Take good thick slices of bacon and arrange on a sheet pan.  Drizzle with maple syrup, then sprinkle with chile powder, preferably a chipotle version, but let your conscience be your guide.  Stick in the oven and watch it closely, flip over and drizzle and sprinkle again until crispy.  Watch me turn from a piggy to a hog.

Is it any wonder that I am concerned about a granddaughter's name?  I am currently calling her 'Elsa', a contraction of her two grandmother's names.  This isn't going over very big with the parents

The big present this year was from our son who gave all the dogs in the family a Michael Vick chew toy.  Get yours here.

Highlight of last night's party was the Portugese Water Dog puppy who was soon being picked up by her owners.  This one was white with black spots, absolutely adorable.  I think I really need another dog though maybe not a PWD because I am not up for chasing it into ponds and oceans.   Too much dog for this lay-about.
