The end of the Teapot Dome Scramble:

I have been working a bit, but really really need some new lights for the studio. The small desk lamps I am using are good for nothing so I am limited to daytime work still. First, the project that emptied all my inks right out of the cartridges- the new set is $113 and on it's way from Epson since they aren't carried locally. Also I could not get the new printer to accept fabric that would easily have gone through the 2200 (before crapping out) so these are on heavy matte photo paper- another $25 worth of material. Now I must figure out how best to get these actually onto fabric. I bought about 30 yards from Jane when she escaped the state, all nice linen but in different weights and colors and am thinking I may try just adhering the photo paper to the fabric with gel but am worried because the paper is heavier than the linen. I do have some primed canvas but I am worried that the priming layer will get removed with the violent rubbing I would have to do- and this is pretty much borne up by some rudimentary and WET experiments. So, here, for your amusement is step #1, the finished printing:
and step #2, the completed cutting:
And a little quiltlet for a friend, all about barking dogs and peeping toms and being completely unaware- don't ask me where in hell this came bubbling up from, but I hope she gets a laugh from it.
