It's been a busy few days but I cannot for the life of me figure out busy at what. I spent all day yesterday in the studio, printed so much that I completely ran out of inks. I learned that the new printer is no match for the old 2200- this one won't take cloth through it without jamming up. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve today, but what's the point with no ink! I stopped by Staples early this morning but they don't carry the right inks for this printer and I have to wait for my Epson order to arrive. Meanwhile I have 15 new prints and I am happy with ALL of them, beautiful detail comes through, and they are blown up to 13'x 14 or 15". I have them taped to the wall behind my sewing table and just go stand in the doorway to love them out loud!

But the problem is they are on paper so that means I will have to deal with getting them onto a stretched canvas instead of building a quilt as was the original plan. This was the first day I spent so long at work since we came down, and by last night I could hardly sleep I was so jazzed up. Also finally I got a the necessary little audio cable that enables me to listen to my iPod through the tiny radio we got for Christmas so now I have some company back there in the furthest recesses of chez sandeedee!
Next up I have to finish up the gift quilt today and figure out how to get some text on it without writing on it. Probably I will print out a story about Peeping Toms and stick it on the front somewhere if it's short enough. otherwise it's the back. I should probably lighten up on the whole idea since it's taking on kind of a creepy sexual vibe with the guys up in the trees watching the girl on a swing. (I can hear you all now: WHAT THEL IS SHE TALKING ABOUT???) I'll get a better picture after I fuse a bit more stuff on.
Another project is designing two sets of invitations for parties I am having in April. OK, don't tell but I am using the same invitation, different wording for each. I want to get them ready to address before I leave for home, so I can do that in 'down' time. Can't do much of anything till the ink arrives though. Except cook.

Tonight I am making parsnip chowder. I love parsnips and have a small hunk of pancetta at the ready. Perfect. There may even be an available leek, wouldn't that be lucky? TY doesn't care for any chowder that doesn't have milk and clams in it, so it's mine all mine. He has a friend here in town and they have a movie all picked out I don't want to see so I am sending them both out to dinner and the show. There ya go.
