I took some old indigestion pills I found in the back of the cabinet. So here I am deciding which credit cards to leave out of my wallet. And I am blaming it all on Ina Garten's recipe for Seafood Gratin. The recipe was delicious, but over the top in the rich department and I made it because (unbelievably) I had all the ingredients on hand except a few leeks. Everyone loved it last night, but I am sure they are also all at their computers right now cursing me. The good news is that the Pats are 18-0 and headed for AZ! What an amazing team, though the game yesterday wasn't as exciting as some have been. I am wondering if it was worth this indigestion though.
So while I was cooking and watching the game and refilling glasses, I was also knitting and finished one of the Ugg Baby Booties. I was saving these for the next plane trip because of the size, then realized they aren't good because I have to take 3 balls of yarn along, so now I will save the hat for the trip- the yarn balls will be smaller by then, and I only ned 2 for the hat. The first boot went together so quickly, all that has to be done is the little row of 'fur' up the sides. OK, so I myself wouldn't be caught dead in Ugg boots, but somehow they seem OK for a baby. Today is a pain- I have overcommitted and will be racing from one thing to another all day, all stuff for Other People instead of the constant self-gratification you have come to know and love. I will be babbling by noon, not out of danger until about 3. But you can bet I will only have one credit card with me from now on in case that gypsie (who took the form in my dream of the Russian gal, Larissa, who sold me all my wallpaper). They both (since they are the same person but fictionalized) sound just like Natasha in the old Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons.
Or am I dating myself again?
