The battle of USPS

Finally I had to get out the pile of small knitted things to my daughter but this time I was gonna be prudent and use USPS and their One-Rate box.  I was royally ripped off at the UPS place sending the baby quilt for $30, no special handling involved, one small box.  So I put it off and put it off for days because there is often a line at the PO, and kept adding new stuff until today.  It all did fit into the box, a women employee came out and got me from the line and grabbed the box and swiped my card and there it went-  I'm not kidding- it took 15 seconds to mail that box.

So, the final things stuffed in are the faux Ugg boots and the 'suede' hat here:

And so, with that, I am officially RETIRED from baby knitting for this kid. Unless of course she likes me.

So now I am back in the business of self-indulgence and can do my own stuff, finish off the gift piece, work on a collage, all the while keeping many digits crossed for some outstanding calls for entry. (Meaning that the notifications are outstanding, not my work...)
