Finally I got around to scanning the post card for the Paste-Up show! I think I may need an update in the scanner department- this one is very aged, and unlike wine, it is not improving. But I digress. I spent yesterday gallery-sitting for the show but alas and alack, it was rainy and cold AND it was Father's Day so the traffic in downtown Lowell was a bit sparse. At one point I was standing in the doorway and a woman stopped to read the placard outside so I hit her like a football tackle and made her endure my little tour of the pieces in the show I liked best. She was interested, but kept glancing out the door like waiting for the police to drive by and save her from this kidnapping. Also had a group of three come by, a friend of mine who had been steered over to the gallery by my compadre at the quilt museum, and her guests from New Zealand. So, it was a slow day. Not too many dads say to their kids, "Hey, I'd really like to go to the Paste Up collage show today!" as a way to celebrate. Oh well.
The opening was the night before and it was pretty well attended.
*UPDATE * UPDATE * UPDATE*

The 'dad' of this house spent the day playing golf in the pouring cold rain, then home again to his place in front of the tv for a marathon of basketball, baseball, and golf (not in that order). In fact the golf part isn't finished yet and we have to take our positions at noon to continue. I was going to take him out to dinner but he wouldn't budge, and instead of even cooking he requested a Sweet Tomatoes pizza. So, it was a Mother's Day too.
During my down time at the gallery yesterday (between watching Ming Tsai kill a lobster on my phone and corralling dog walkers on the street) I actually did some stitching. Today I pursue that plan with the hopes that it will actually be something someday. Lettuce Prey
