Tree O' Quilt
OK, here it is. Between branches I made a vat of Clam Chowdah and a meatloaf for tomorrow. I may have to take to my bed after this and need to be prepared.
This is a very big image- try clicking on it for the larger version and hopefully you can read it. Please feel free to comment and let me know what else to add- this will be an INTERACTIVE tree! So don't yell at me, just add your own parts.
I know I am pretty weak on the traditional side and at the roots so "he'p me Rhonda"!

Very creative Sandy -I could read most of it, and it feels well thought out - I just love the truncated stump of PC's, JQ's, ATC's and 'whatever' ...
Nice tree :-)
I'm assuming that traditional piecing fits into the main trunk of the tree. If the Chowdah has fortified you enough, I've got a few roots: French "Boutis," Egyptian mummies (there's some fancy wrapping very evocative of Log Cabin blocks that may have been an actual inspiration during the Egyptmania that swept Europe after Napoleon's invasion), and Manx Roof quilts (a precursor to the log cabin block from the Isle of Man), Kantha stitching (this may be more properly a "root" only for the art quilt graft).
Thanks for the fun and informative graphic.
I like your analogy a lot! Maybe you need a "sucker root" for the nontraditional side that feeds off art/painting? Or a hose that is "watering" that side from art/painting?
Sandy, This is awesome! Thank you for putting it all down for us.
BTW - Tide pools was not unsung at QC. I think it's beautiful and much nicer in person than the pic.
Piecefully, Michele
