Das Boot

Ya hoo, Das Boot is on as of this afternoon.  TY still on crutches, and will be for (shoot me now) 12 more weeks.  But the good thing is that he can put weight on the foot now, thank yew boot!, and just use the crutches...er...as crutches to help him balance.  I will now start driving him hither and yon because he can be out and about and my bed will remain unused during the day.  Today we actually drove over to the golf course where we sat and had lunch and a cigar and a breath of fresh air (I sat upwind).  And I am officially off kitchen duty and have moved up to chauffeur.  Maybe someone else can help me out here once in awhile-  I am not a cigar fan.









And my 10 additional skeins of yarn arrived so I am back to knitting again, but I am thinking this may not be enough so I want to go as far as possible quickly so the yarn won't go discontinued on me if I need more.    Now I can also hit the fabric store for some fiberfill for the baby book and get that done.  Optimism is looming her bright red curls again.

I am back to planning a trip, think we will drive back to Florida and leave from there in the fall.  I have been promised Amsterdam and perhaps a train to Strasbourg, then on to who knows where-  Lyon?  Prague?  Vienna?  Budapest?  I am tasting the pastry in my vivid imagination.  Sigh.
