Wonders Never Cease

Got an acceptance into the Schweinfurth show today, amazing to me but I guess I should have known I would get in because the quilts have been permanently installed in my guest room and I will have to take them down-  all five of them-  and probably sell lemonade on the corner to make enough money to ship it all up north.  What*was*I*thinking?  Any donations gratefully accepted to help me fund UPS making a box and mailing!  (I'm kidding, really, but geesh, this is a big one to mail!)  Also have the issue to figure out how to make all five pieces hang as one.  Here in the 'guest room installation' they hang in a nice row around two walls.

I doubt Schweinfurth will want to relinquish all that hanging-in-a-row space to me.  Hmmm.  Of course I could just box up the 5 different pieces and let them have at it.  The entry picture had them hanging like this:
Yeah, that's the plan.  When faced with indecision, let somebody else make it.

Bottom line is that I am thrilled to get into the show because they always do a good job, but I was frankly thinking I wouldn't have to disrupt the guest room.  Place is going to look bare.  Oh well.

In Other News, my couch was delivered this morning on time and in good shape.  They missed the morning torrential downpour, though I didn't since I was on my dawn patrol walk.  Lost the wet-tee-shirt contest, for sure, but made it home in time to change before the truck pulled in.

Looks much better than the overstuffed monstrosity we had been living with.

And finally, I glanced out the window and the biggest lizard in the neighborhood is pooping on my furniture.  Damn him anyway-  I had just hosed it all down.
I am invited out for dinner tonight with four friends who think I need taking care of, so I have to go jump in the shower and find something presentable to put on.  I've been out running around all day so would rather just put my feet up on my new couch and turn on the tv like an old lady.  Have some tea.  But instead I will have to choke down some veal milanese!  Poor me.
