Monday Monday, Can't Trust that Day

You don't want to let go of your weekend just yet, and you may try every trick in the book to extend this playful feeling into your workweek. But if you have things to do today, don't worry about missing out on a little fun. Instead, think about the positive impact you might have on others if you jump in now and show them the way. Your can-do attitude is contagious to everyone around you.

Oh right! I want to get right back on that hayride! Maybe have that tractor pull me uphill through the seven hills of Newton in the gusting winds. I am still picking hay out of my teeth. Now, let's get to that 'can-do' attitude... What I really want to do is crawl back into bed. Contact with the little germ ridden grandkids has me sneezing and dripping so my so-called 'attitude' ain't all that's contagious.

Today I got a glowing report on the Schweinfurth opening from Debbie Bein, good to hear that it was so well attended. I wish I could get there but time is too short for the 6 hour drive this weekend. This is a show I haven't entered since it's first years when I first started exhibiting. I was in it a few times back then but hated the part that you had to send the quilt for judging (as opposed to jurying) and then may get it back. Also the judging took place manually- a couple of helper would hold it up and walk around, show the back, etc. This isn't how my stuff is meant to be seen. And there was also the part that the show was more traditional back then, not a good fit for me. Remember, I used to be a contendah... sigh. Now I am firmly in also-ran territory.

Something is terribly wrong with Blogger lately.  I can't post images.  Or signatures.  Oy.
