I met Nate and Jackie for brunch knowing full well I wouldn't make it to dinner-and-a-movie as we had planned and I was sure right. They have a new restaurant a block from their apartment that is quite fabulous. I seem to gravitate to restaurants in former gas stations since my favorite Palm Beach place is also a build-out. What a waste. I sat there dripping and completely unable to eat my cognac lamb burger. I have to get back and give this place another shot. Brunch was wonderful (or so it looked!) and I was dying for a mimosa but didn't dare.
So after my long sleep, this is the day that is designated for the ride to Ipswich to take the birthday presents to the babies. Fortunately they are still too young to understand birthdays, and I am waffling (another brunch?) about the long drive up and back. At least it's sunny and the car is warm. I talked to Mandy last night and they are in a major cabin fever mode from all the snow so I kind of feel my effort might be appreciated beyond what I anticipate. And sure enough, guess what was in the Horrors this morning:
You may feel anxious today, and your uneasiness can get the best of you if you have been working hard to put a relationship in order. Even if you made inroads recently, there still may be something that's not exactly right. Although you could be overwhelmed with all the stress, don't throw in the towel yet. You have already come through the hardest part, but it will take more time to see how much progress has already occurred. So basically I am heading out after lunch today. The snows start tomorrow and I am pretty sure my flight back will be cancelled on Wednesday because of the predicted 15-20". I probably won't get out before the weekend with all the travelers heading south. No word on the JetBlue website yet.
Sorry there isn't much to report since I have been watching infomercials and test patterns for days now, haven't even picked up any knitting after having dragged it all along. I did read a funny post here about how one woman manages her fabric stash. And I thought I had a problem with fabric! Lookee this!

someone in my guild posted the complete tour of that woman's stash. It scared me. Way too many plastic containers concentrated in one place. It can't possibly be good for you.
Glad to hear you got some soup going on - take care and don't let it get too much worse!
Thank you so much for the fabric stash pic. I showed it to my husband to prove that I don't really have THAT much fabric!!!
Hope you feel better soon.
