You are pleased when others acknowledge your creativity, but your ability to be self-expressive doesn't require anyone else's approval. Your motivation needs to come from within. Spending time running through old scripts of "I wish I did" or "I wish I didn't" isn't very useful today. They will only clutter your mind with uncertainty or regret. All you can do now is give it your best shot and then let go.
Horrors.

and a picture of Lacey with Molly showing Molly's enthusiasm for the whole thing. I offered her a matching neck ruffle but she heartily declined. I smeared a bit of peanut butter on Lacey's nose hoping for a 'kissing' photo but Molly wouldn't fall for it and I had to wipe the damn plaster nose free of the goo. Here is the best I could get:

Resignation.

Rusty Chains Tryptich
This is finished now and even hanging on the wall. It's more chain photos in combination with some vintage fabrics and Thai silk transparent stuff. I am not quite sure what it's saying, but it's kind of interesting with all the textures behind the wax.
Chains
the latest version with 4 x 3 units as opposed to the previous 3 x 3 units. I am getting pressure from Beverley-the-North that maybe there should be 4 x 4, and she happily pointed out all the multiple unit pieces in the Fine Art show this weekend telling me how great they looked when spread across huge expanses. I think this is IT for now, so I am calling it done and it's waiting for a buyer to come waltzing in the door. Because it hasn't been met with enthusiasm as a wall piece for my own house. (Where it would be simply perfect...) drat.
And back to winding yarn.

Try putting slippery yarn that has been wound into balls into a slip lock bag & leave just a corner of the top open for strand to feed out as you knit. Keeps the yarn behaving!!
Thanks Marcia- that's what I do, but I was dumb and wound the whole 400+ yards into one ball before- Now I'm splitting it into 3 balls and each will fit nicely into sandwich size baggies. This works like a charm and I will be able to take it on the plane now.
If I may add a personal interpretation: I love the chains panel to be 12 pieces. It is an aspect of impermanence -- if you don't break your chains, time will. 16 hours -- that isn't as meaningful as a dozen.
