In Other Knitting Knews, I got one sleeve sewn into the gigantic colorful coat, tried it on and it will fit two of me. No wonder I had to order so much extra yarn- who knew I was making double coats? Anyway, I have also lost the five perfect buttons I had found for this thing- guess that's what happens when you work on something in so many places over such a long time. I hope to get the other sleeve in tomorrow so I can hang it in the closet where it will never see the light of day. This one really burned a hole in my knitting desires, my lesson learned is to see the finished garment in person before getting started. But I COULD sew up the bottom and call it a homeless sleeping bag. In reality I will try a little careful felting to see if I can shrink it up a bit, but right now it looks like a couple of hundred dollars of yarn wasted.
I finally got to meet up with my old pal Judy today for a bento box. Ummm, real food! It was so good to see her, but frankly any human would have sufficed at this point. I heard from two friends today who realized I wasn't home yet, nice of them to check, and one gal from up here who is coming down to visit in 2 weeks who called to tell me about the bad weather.

OK, over and out for now. Two more days of incarceration and another major storm expected again tomorrow. What will the chances be that my flight is cancelled again? Into the pool, anybody?
