Back to Reality

This morning my CA pal sent me a link to an eBay auction for an old 30's tablecloth, used, that went for $230+. It was pretty but not THAT pretty. And my little reptilian brain is churning away at my own stack of '30's tablecloths sitting in the studio that I am not using any more. I certainly don't think any of them are worth anything near that amount, but then, neither did the seller of the eBay one, I'm sure. Rest assured I am going to re-check what I have and see if maybe I can cull the tablecloth herd a bit. So, I am excited about getting rid of a pile and thinking that I will photograph them today and many 'etc's' of what I will need to do, and here is the Horror for the day:

Although you might have a project in mind, a friend or an associate could open your eyes to a new alternative today. Proceed with caution because the opportunity may not be as good as it seems and you might not be considering all the facts. You can analyze what can go wrong without dwelling on the negative. There's no reason to be overly pessimistic; just add a healthy dose of reality to any plans you make at this time.

Also, my niece sent me a 'Work From Home' link, one of those phishing ads that tell me that I can make thousands like 'all my friends here in Jupiter'. I'm not gonna bite. Looks like a 'healthy dose of reality' is rearing it's ugly head again. Good thing I've never paid attention to it before, instead have usually been struck by MALAISE and ENNUI, the Siamese twins who live in my head..

In other subjects, don't know if you remember me ranting on about the albino raccoon over at the Busch Wildlife Center, but he is my favorite animal there. Busch takes in hurt or captured animals and keeps them until they are rehabbed and able to be released or, if that's not possible, they keep them. I found this news story the other day from Toronto. Apparently the incidence of albino raccoons is 1 in half a million and then they found this:



Amazing. I am having some trouble figuring out why the normal raccoon brother is so much larger than the albinos when they are from the same litter. But what do I know about genetics anyway. I don't hold out much hope for these critters in the wild- wearing a white raccoon coat at night is like wearing a neon sign, "BAIT".
