Ding Dong

Innocent Looking English
I bit into an English muffin yesterday and lost part of my tooth. It wasn't an old tough English muffin, just an ordinary toasted high fiber model. And crunch, out fell a tooth part! No, it wasn't the cottage cheese I had on it either. So, since it was Sunday I had to wait until today to scramble around to find a dentist. TY had one here, but the guy retired this year and sold his practice, so I called them first thing this morning. I started out with the story and added that I don't have a dentist in Florida, she answered that I do now. My kinda people. So I still have to wait but they are getting me in tomorrow morning to be assessed. I just know that no good will come of this.
This is not me.
It's just what I feel like.
This is not me either,
It's my canine doppleganger.

So far the only real problem is a night of nightmares, one right after the other. I was walking down the street and got kidnapped by a band of terrorists
who flung fabric over me and turned me into a fried squash blossom---but a very large one. The fabric was perfectly goldy-brown, the exact color of fried squash blossoms, but the stuffing was me, not melty cheese like it should be. I don't think I got actually fried, but I woke up to the news from Pakistan.
This IS me, the one in the middle...

Tonight I have to go to a dinner party so we went looking for a house gift to take along. TY drove me straight to the car wash and told me I had to get out while they cleaned it- sure enough, inside it is a car wash/gift shop and it was chock full of fabulous items that were perfect to pick from. And I also found the last several gifts he has given me, so that jig is up. These people are genius- give 'em something to BUY while they are waiting and make money off them double. Whoever their buyer is has a great sense of taste too- I wanted many things myself so went around 'showing' things to TY in hopes of them appearing for my next gift accepting occasion. And I vow to never again make fun of his gifts from the car wash.
I forgot, you can get coffee and nice rolls there too! And nice tropical clothes. TY was actually wearing the shorts he bought there last visit. (I didn't know...) Looks from this ad like this idea has been around for a long time. Guess it never took hold in New England.
I love South Florida.

And I do have to give a shout out to Advil today too.
