Your recent creative cycle may be coming to an end, elevating the significance of current events. It's crucial to complete unfinished projects prior to beginning something new. Exercise caution because you might overlook what's really happening; being eager for success is not the same as idealizing a new opportunity. You will be best served now by seeing things as they truly are and not as you would like to see them.
Whew, this is exactly what I've been working on- finishing old projects before I move on to something new. I don't much care for success but love new opportunities. Looks like I am in a 'good place' today, no horrors!
And I am off to await the tube shipment. I can't track on the tracking site they provided so it's going to be 'hurry up and wait' all day I guess. And maybe tomorrow. Bummer.
So I already have a 'new opportunity'- I need to find a hard copy of the instruction manual for my middle-aged server! I*don't*know*how*to*thread*the*bloody*thing. so it's sat dormant for 11 years now, it's case turning yellow. My Common Sense pal, Laurie yelled at me (OK, SHE JUST QUESTIONED ME NICELY) for not using it (SEE HOW GUILTY I AM FOR HAVING EQUIPMENT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE?) for the shreddy silk blouse, and of course it would have made the project a snap. So, if I want to continue using up my basket of old-clothes-made-out-of-fabrics-I-love and making new stuff out of them, I need to get this up and running. Of course I could probably take the video cassette to the photo shop and have a DVD made from it. That's Plan B, so off I go to kill off some opportunities!
LATER THIS DAY
My tubes arrived and now I need a bigger space for all my crap! What's a gal to do? I did find out why delivery to a residential area is more expensive- the guy had a 40' truck and he told me he was glad he brought 'the small one' today. He's probably still working on getting it out of here.
I stuck the huge box up on top of the bathroom ceiling and replaced the tubes into it, trouble is that my little ladder isn't tall enough to shove the last one in all the way. That done, I turned myself to the serger issue, got the serial number and model number and took to the internet. It's only been ELEVEN years, you'd think there would be a manual somewhere, finally found one for a model with a 'similar' number so grabbed that. This free pdf
also had a duplicate on some other website for $19.95, plus shipping. Fat chance, so I downloaded and printed all 54 pages of the damn thing. Then I put it in special sleeves for a 3 ring notebook which, once I got the pages all ready to go, I do not have a notebook for!
This is daunting, I was reading a bit as I stuffed the sleeves. I've always been pretty mechanical but this may do me in. So, with my shiny pages all ready to follow along on, I cut out another blouse today to test it out, step by step. Once it was cut I decided I have had enough for one day and cannot possibly start figuring out the serger with my glucose levels on 'E'.
Marimekko fabric, from the Crate and Barrel Christmas collection (seconds bin) many years ago. I've liked it too much to cut. Silly me. I'm outta here.
