Telling me what I should be doing instead of what I am doing! I started a silk lace scarf the other day, supposed to be a gift this summer, but I am now in it's third rip-out. I've completely started over twice, now I just un-knit until I get to the mistake, mostly looking for stitches that I missed or added in my frenzy. It's getting old and I'm getting bored with the whole project, it's simply that I was seduced by the yarn... didn't take into account that I CAN'T COUNT to 10 when I have shoes on.
(hmmm, does that tell ya that I am just too damn old for this?)
You may be at odds with yourself today; on one hand, you're annoyed that your spontaneity is being constrained by previous obligations, affording you less wiggle room than you prefer. And yet you know exactly what you have to do now, even if you're tempted to avoid your responsibilities. However, being practical is your best course of action at this time. Don't worry; you'll have more opportunity to play later on in the week.
Well, aint that a kick in the pants? Yes, I am pissy because I have yet another dinner obligation tonight with people I see frequently enough, so I don't really want to go. And yes, I have no wiggle room. Bummer. And I DO know what I have to do today. So it's off to the studio to cut strips and squares from those strips until my poor arm gives out. I even have new blades in both my big rotary cutters and WOW, what a difference. Can't believe I didn't think of that before! It's all because Laurie was using one of them and kind of did a "hmmmm" and grunt when she couldn't cut a thread with it so she nicely mentioned that MAYBE I need a new blade. Well, duh.

Here's where you can give in to any urge to buy in bulk: I buy packages of 100 needles from Erica's online and packages of blades from a local dealer who often has them. Try here but my connection is iffy

Makes me feel virtuous when I change needles often and when I finish a package!!!!
Hadn't dinged a blade in a long time but recently I ran over a straight pin underneath something. Felt so weird I went back and tried again!
Just back from QN and my brain is trying to make sense of stuff.
