Proverbial Damnation

More rework that I've unearthed from the archives!  This one is my grandfather, who was a cowboy in Colorado called Rattlesnake Pete:  Sorry about the flare, I guess it should be re-photographed.

Next, a triptych of 'G's':  Geese, Goat, and Grapes!  Each is collage on canvas with paint, 12" square:
Geese, five of them, and the original redwork  before I started scanning it for duplications.

The actual original Goat before being painted in place on the Goat collage, below.

Goats
Grapes

On yesterday's post there is a piece about Guinea Pigs which was originally part of this series, but it got separated out to use different techniques.  Maybe next I'll bring up to light all the toile fabrics I use?  Whatcha think?  It's either that or blogging about what I have for dinner.  Your choice.

UPDATE:  I went to read Joanne Mattera's Art Blog yesterday afternoon after I had posted and she was featuring Ellen Wineberg's paintings at the Bromfield Gallery in Boston.  She led with this detail shot:

Yup, the same goat in redwork!  Here is a shot of her entire assemblage, and if you go to her website you will see many additional paintings featuring redwork.  Note that her goat has all his legs...

I loved seeing your goat with my Joanne Mattera shot. I liked your use of red work, I have a collection of very bad ones (so bad they're good). You?
