Contemptible Demur Pirouette

gobble

The Horror today:Impulsive Mars is spending his last day in your fixed sign, and you want to squeeze every last drop of excitement out of whatever's happening. However, you can be quite stubborn as the bullheaded Taurus Full Moon illuminates your public 10th house. Unfortunately, circumstances will still require you to change to your plan. Thankfully, your tension can be alleviated by discussing your dilemma with someone you trust.
Whatever IS happening?  I dunno.

Did some torch work yesterday on the three parrot encaustic pieces. The images are so beautiful that I don't want to mess them up, but when I put them on the boards, I knew they could only be the starting point, otherwise, o buy a frame and hang 'em as is!  I'm basically carving the birds out of the wax surface and imbedding the lines with more wax. Yesterday I did two carvings, today I finish that up and perhaps get to adding wax.

Also I spent some time at PS and finished up my $100 bill but I think the project is over- anyway, here it is, don't spend it all in one place.

But I have a problem, of course, First I have to figure out what went wrong with the video materials I sent off so happily a few weeks ago.  Now I find they didn't arrive, so I have to relearn how to do it, and then DO IT.  This should take a normal person maybe 15 minutes. This WILL take me the entire morning assuming I don't procrastinate forever to get back to the studio knowing this is my assignment for the day.

Also I got another rust print set up and 'cooking' so I'm anxious to see it today, hope I can do it in one day without getting so much metal build-up on the fabric, yet still picking up the image.  Life is an experiment, right?  Anyway, I do have a nice piece I can cut up to add as a think strip if necessary.  I'm now working on the actual old linen so I can only hope it works as well on that as the cotton test piece.

The other day at Michaels I found the scissor display and actually bought three pairs.  My current scissors are so old, can't be sharpened and really useless.  In addition I'm allays looking for them, now will have a designated pair at every table, in fact I am going to TIE THEM to each working table so I don't steal them from myself!  The non-stick pair will go on the encaustics table, the shears on the sewing and cutting table, clippers on the sewing and serger station, and then one more pair over on the paper cutting desk.  The old ones I can distribute around for other needs.  Why didn't I do this long ago?  Now I'll get the Ghingers sharpened and hide 'em.

Lastly, I can't not show you this video that was shot on the Shannon River in Ireland, where we cruised this summer.  It was simply beautiful as you can see, but we didn't see any murmuration like this, just swans, hundreds and hundreds of swans!
