Duet Glenn Devolve

It's a smart idea to complete unfinished chores today as the Moon moves through your 12th House of Endings. Whatever happens tomorrow after the Moon enters your sign, it's crucial to be ready for a new round of action. Although you are tempted to look ahead to the future with anticipation, tying up loose ends now is more of a guarantee of success than making new plans. Be patient; your wait will soon be over.
Completing Unfinished Chores---And that is my ticket out of watching the 'SUPER-BOWEL' (sic).  I'm gonna head for the studio and get the quilt back ready to go, doubt I'll get it on before my trip but if it's ready it won't take much time when I get back.   I found a tablecloth in my abundant stash that is the same width, exactly, and it has some napkins that I can add onto the top to reach measurement and that will then fold over and become the sleeve-  perhaps I'll leave them as 4 separate 'sleeves' just to be contrary.  Then we I get back I can give it it's last stitches, just enough to hold it together, and roll 'er up and stack it in the log pile of done-quilts.  Or maybe a show will come up that it might work in.  One can hope that will happen and that some lovely person is just dying to own a stack of old yellow crochet!

Great Balls of Yarn, my LYS, is having a huge sale today starting at noon to celebrate the Super Bowl, so I'll head to that at some point-  my presence will not be missed in front of the tv, and I'm looking for another small yarny project to work on at night.

Oh yeah, in case you think I'm a total one-dimensional old twit, I want you to know I went to a real-life lecture last night with Richard Haass from the Council on Foreign Affairs.  Yeah, Saturday Night with the Foreign Affairs Council, rock on...whoda thunk that would ever happen?  I thought it was going to be a big yawn but he turned out to be fascinating and spoke actual English that I could understand. It was probably the same lecture he would do for a third grade class but I really appreciated that he was careful to make his rational thoughts understood by even us artists (!).   Plus he had good stories.

Afterward, we ate dinner with some old friends from Boston and trashed a few people:
separated at birth, thanks Liza!
