ACTING like a know-it-all?  Who Moi?  I only have another hour of being able to get into an argument so I better start pretty soon or it won't have a chance to escalate.

Am off to Boston, land of the bean and the cod and incidentally a couple of kids and grandkids.  This should be a fun trip in spite of my friends problems.  I get to go to a birthday party for both kids-  the trip was aimed right between the two dates so I could see them both.  And I get to see the wedding couple and finalize a few plans.  And, not exactly coincidentally, I get to my old crit group tonight.  This is a very tightly planned trip, busy every day with things I really want to do and a few things I simply must take care of.

Yesterday in the studio I thought I was going to have to call the rescue boats-  the whole parking area was under water with the torrential downpours we had, and sitting in a metal roof building through that is not pleasant!  But I did get a lot done.  I got the Four Turkeys layered and some big stitch quilting done-  this is going to be a minimum job, because my hands don't work so well any more and this particular quilt has so much stuff sewn to the surface that it won't go through the machine.  Besides, I don't want to flatten it down any more.  I also got it up on the wall again and took a semi-final picture.  I was hoping to get the binding done but ran out of time.  It's all cut and ready to go when I get back because I want this thing DONE and ROLLED UP  and out of my way so I can start work on the centerpieces for the wedding when I get back-  and that is going to take all my tables.  I hope I can recruit some help on this, but we'll see as I get into it what happens.
