Epigram Pyrex Forsake

HEY!  Remember me?  I'm back after my busy weekend in Boston, two showers in two days, with seeing friends stuffed into the evenings.  My final friend on Sunday night had to cancel because she was stuck in a Cape traffic jam so I went out trolling for bargains at TJ's while killing time but the both of us just got too tired to meet since we're seeing each other in TEN DAYS in Key West !  Wow, It took forever to actually get to this part of the year, so much planning and thinking and of course all MY help sitting here away from the fray watching 'Four Weddings' and 'Say Yes to the Dress'-  hard work but somebody had to do it.
How's about this for Key West wedding?

 An alligator cake topper!
(This will NOT be there)
I am so proud of the way my son and his bride have put together this wedding all by themselves. They started out with a wedding planner in Key West but in short time of calls not being returned and things not getting done, and taking into account that Key West time is quite different from Boston time, they fired her and took it over themselves.  I want to suggest to anybody out there who wants a destination wedding that it's NOT EASY.  Take the money, visit the local JP, and go on a fabulous honeymoon.  Or, if you must, have the party but do it locally.  I know everybody sees themselves getting married on the beach or under the stars or some other romantic thought. Doesn't happen.  And every wedding is beautiful, even if a hurricane blows through and sends the guess scurrying for cover.  Like the saying goes:
MAN PLANS and GOD LAUGHS
(see alligators above!)

Yup, I am in this show and got a notification the other day that I have won the
  Quilt-in-a-Day Award!
WTF?  I immediately took offense because this piece indeed did NOT take a day, but several months even though it might not look like it.  I emailed my buddy who told me that it doesn't have anything to do with that and to chill, so I have.  Apparently it's listed on the Yeiser website but I have long forgotten what my password and sign in name might be.  Today Im going to the studio to find a wall to hang the ribbon, if that's what I win.  (If its cash I already know where I'm gonna hang it!)  I'm being snarky, of course, because that's what I do---  but I am happy hat somebody finally likes the quilt I entered!  If you're in Paducah, please stop by the Yeiser and visit it for me, and then let me know you were there!  Maybe I'll send you a piece of the ribbon like people did with the orange gates in Central Park...
