"More of me comes out when I improvise."
Edward Hopper

You know when a team doesnt lose a game for the whole season?  They call it being UNDEFEATED,right?  So what happens when you don't win a single game, are you FEATED?  My bocce team is FEATED.  We are feated so badly that all we do is laugh.  It's so bad we cheer for the other team.  We play teams with 75 year old women, women with Parkinson's, vertigo and shoulder problems.  Some limp, some have squishy minds and don't know whether they are the red team or the blue team.  Always somebody makes their own rules and has to be argued down or given in to depending on their voracity.  Today we feated two games, I made two points in two games and was (ahem) a leading scorer along with another gal.  We are pathetic.

For his MFA Thesis Exhibit last September, Pennsylvania artist James McNabb created a beautiful collection of architectural wonders using discarded wood. He describes his process as “sketching with a band saw,” and says initial intent was not to build skylines, but instead began with the creation of the individual wooden pieces which resembled tools or other strangely familiar objects. After he built nearly 250 of them in a day they collectively began to resemble a miniature city. You can see many more works from the exhibition on his website.  LOVE that table, and it sure would discourage animals and toddlers from begging, woudn't it?

Sweaters for Shetland Ponies, how cute are they!

And because I'm in a nostalgic mood today, only temporary as I start the mad race around gathering stuff for the Open Studio, a SQUIRREL for ya, in tea-cozy form:
