"That which hinders your task is your task."  Sanford Meisner

Yeah, I'm still around, currently on the cruise on the way from Amsterdam to
Hoorn.  We will arrive later this afternoon and go find some Gouda and Edam.  Supposedly.  Right now we are waiting our turn to go through one of 28 locks we'll be getting to know.  This morning we opted for a walking your of Amsterdam, not covering much territory but taking a long time to navigate mostly due to the trash piled everywhere after Monday's installation of their new king.  We saw a bike parking lot for 2500 bikes, some very compelling shop windows, the outside of two famous Protestant churches, the old warehouses, and theAnne Frank house,  the lines to get in we're immense so we just revisited the story from the street in front.  What a tribute that thousands of people would visit this place as a memorial to a symbolic young girl.

So far so good here, once we slept in a real bed and had some real food.  This boat is a lot fancier than I anticipated, the food is better than anticipated, the boat is brand new,and lovely.  It is,unfortunately, cold and damp so far so I am walking around like the Michilin man in twelve layers and loving that I threw in some socks!  Now I'm headed to the 'sun deck'(!) for our arrival to Hoorn and another chance to wear my mittens!.

No pictures, sorry.  I am taking them  but will have to add them later
duck!
