licensable barnyard altar

"Art steps in where communication breaks down."  Elizabeth J. Spencer

Hi my Fellow Squirrels!  I'm finally free of the friggin iPad that won't do anything I need it to do, and I've hooked up with the computer that was waiting for me in the hotel when we arrived this morning.  The cruise was great, a brand new boat with great food and water pressure (hey, that's important!).  We met some interesting people from all over the world, one of whom was --get this-- a recent student of Nancy Crow's workshop!  We talked and talked, it was so nice to not have to *explain* what the hell it is that I do!  I know we'd be friends if she lived closer.  Alas and alak.

So today's circumstance-  we are waiting for our room to be ready and sitting in this amazing Dutch designed hotel that is laden with flowers and chandeliers the size of an upturned car dribbling little LED lights like raindrops.  I want to STAY here.  And the fabulous words I never hear:  'Ya, and we have upgraded your room to something special, ya?'  YAYAYAYAYA!  We have tickets in our pockets to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum and will be leaving as soon as we get our stuff in the room.  Meanwhile we are being pampered and waited on and plied with olives the size of kiwis.  TY had his morning bier, I get the olives.  Just got word the room is ready so I'm off to see it and then walk around for the rest of the day.  Talk to you all soon, please don't give up on me.

from Facebook, where else?

I loved that the previous title mentioned Albany, (or Smallbany as we call it) which has a deep connection with the netherlands! The Queen herself came to visit and rewrote our downtown landscape thanks to Gov. Rockefeller being a little embarrassed by the run down slums.

Anyway - love living vicariously in your travels!
