That Fix As Conclusion Zeal

(Small) good news here again, I got accepted into the FIber Arts Blogger Ring. Who know, someone somewhere may just read this afterall. So I excitedly went to the ring to see who was after me today and wouldn'tja know, that blog had no ring link on it so it was a dead end. Geesh.

Went to Plymouth Plantation yesterday and got an interesting history/religion lesson. Seems I may be a Pilgrim, I have no church nor do I feel the need for one. All these years, who knew? I wonder if I can get out of going to the year anniversary memorial service for my MIL by declaring this formally.

Went out to dinner at the Frenchie/Greek place and had Dayboat scallops (as opposed to Nightboat? I dunno, beats me what a dayboat is) I ordered it because of the corn custard, the wild mushrooms and the truffle oil and it was well worth it. The resataurant got scared as I took the picture- bet they thought I was a SomeBody.

And one last thing: Here are today's incarnations of the Snowball-in-Hell quilt. I started out with 16 squares (See yesterday's blog) but added several more and did some rearranging. Then I started adding the spiral in orange but it needed another color and I happened to have that wonderful Versace silk in green too so continued the other side with strips of that. I was planning on appliqueing in a smooth arc but instead changed to inlaying the strips so they wouldn't match up exactly and like that much better as it continues the jumpy effect of the quarter circles. I am still not convinced on the top 2 squares and bottom 2 squares so won't sew them down until the end.
