Almost ready to quilt, just have to sew down a few of the green circles because that meant a thread change and I am too lazy to do it more than once. I'm calling this one Cylvia's Circles because it's all her fault! God I hate quilting- might do this in several very large circles just to get it finished so I guess I had better find something a bit more high tech than my ruler to make a few very large arcs. I saw a gizmo in the new Blick catalog that looked about right, and I do love my gizmos.
Speaking of gizmos, I found a real life TomTom at Tweeter yesterday so plunked down TY's credit card and it will be here Friday. Can't wait. Nate showed me his the other night in the parking lot after the movie and it was soooo coool. He has his programmed to get directions from an English woman's voice, but I think I will go for the Australian guy to relive a little personal history... oops, there I go off into the past.
Now, if you haven't seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, go. It's worth it for the sets, but you'd expect that from Tim Burton. And Johnny does it again- wish I knew his dermatologist because his skin looked like plastic. He is quite amazing, but then he can do no wrong in my eyes. Now I have to re-watch the Gene Wilder version to 'compare and contrast' because it's been twenty six years! Oh god, I need a nap.
And oh, by the way, do NOT try that soup recipe from yesterday. It's not fit for human consumption. You're welcome.
