For Your Dining Dee-lite

buffalo chicken wing soup recipe Umm Ummm Good, and the french fried onion rings(probably from a CAN for godzake) are such a 'gormay' touch. BTW, the hot sauce has to be Franks- no other sauce will do. This has the consistencey of library paste and a spoon stands upright or it's not right. No wonder everyone in Buffalo is morbidly obese anymore.

So today I was to visit my primary care doktor- not exactly a notable happening except for the fact that I haven't seen him for FIFTEEN YEARS, so long ago that I had been purged from his computers. Oh oh. So I got a general checkup and he offered me some Xanex to 'keep on the shelf, just in case' but I declined because I don't want to have a row of pill bottles on my kitchen windowsill. (Not too much of a problem since I don't have a kitchen window, but you get my point) I guess I may have gotten a leettle agitated talking about my drives to Buffalo... But I got out of there with only a few little holes in my arm, a brand new EKG that showed I have a heart that is working, and indeed, some blood pressure. I really like this guy and hope he is around for a few more years but he is as old as I am so what are the chances?

On the way back I stopped at the Button Box and found two great pieces of African Mudcloth so bought them both- I haven't had any luck finding a killer piece of Kuba so this will do for now- sure wish I had enough to cover my dining room chairs- that would look so great, but in total I have maybe 4 yards to make a cover for the bench in the bedroom and maybe 2 pillows. Very graphic, will look good against the plain surfaces I have going in there.

Also bought 2 batts, a black one and a white one, and some backing fabric that I think is Japanese, so I can layer (ugh ugh ugh) 2 of the tops I have made. I do have to say I am loving the one I just finished, hope I don't screw it up in the quilting process- you do know how much I love quilting- NOT. I'd like to get these all finished up now that I have used most of the blocks up finally- I want to send them down to Florida to the shop there as samples so I can teach this winter.

TA DAH
And the Big News is that the Koigu Toreador Sweater is OFF THE LIST finally! It's all blocked and in it's plastic bag in the closet waiting for cool weather. I like it, but may continue looking for better bigger buttons.
