Inadequate Plenty Helpmate

The Horror-Scope today: You may not be able to enjoy yourself today until you finish your work. However, don't look for a parent figure to tell you what to do. There is no threat of punishment, but if you don't do what you must, no one else will either. Be sensible and keep to yourself as long as you are making progress.

But I need to know how THEY know I have so much work to do? I am calling two of the collages done, one more to mount before it receives that designation. I unfortunately screwed up big thinking I might be able to add a little more flat-ness with my iron and instead bubbled off the top layer of the photograph on the dumpster collage. Now I have to 'fix' it in such a way that it will be BETTER than before I messed it up. Bet I can't do it...

Anyway, today I am off to Staples to get erasers to vanquish the dreaded guide lines, and medium weight photo paper instead of the heavyweight I am using- maybe they will slow down the separation of the layers. I also need something archival to mount onto, and maybe some sharp blades to cut- the paper I am cutting now with my mat knife looks more like I chewed it off. I am calling it a deckel edge.

Last night it got down into the 30's, the three days of winter are here and I even have to wear a sweater today. Love it when it's like this. But the downside is that I have lost one of my hibiscus plants, the one in front of the gate 'left us' last night because it gets the cold air coming through. The others were over more inside the courtyard wall and look fine, even blooming this morning in spite of the cold. But my real regret is not bringing in the damn orchid I wanted so badly! It looks OK so far but I expect it is finished from my neglect. Oh nuts, the dreaded side-ways pictures again.

After my bad experiences at mothering my kids, failure at both rabbits and dogs (not even mentioning the fish family or adopted hampster triplets Bosa, Supra, and Chevy Nova), and much history killing off plant life. My best course of action right now is to give up carbon based life form care and focus on pet rocks. Here is my current 'bouquet' of birds of paradise. Yuk. Time to dump, eh?
