Boustrophedonically Justified Fleuron

Crafty Clean-up Time around here. Last week I strung thease coral beads I got in Santa Fe. I was really worried about the weight of them so made two strands I can wear together if my brittle bones can take it. But they look very 'Iris Apfel-esque'
and I love them. I finally bought the book in that link by the way and have looked through it twenty times. I'll never get tired of it.

My Halloween Tribute cemetery. A gorgeous fall day, lunch with a special friend-who-shops in Concord and kicking leaves through the cemetery. How perfect.

To go along with cemeteries, the Dracula cupcakes I have been touting today. Just regular white cupcakes with cherry preserves or pie filling and bite marks from an authentic Dracula.
If you leave the cherry preserves chunky they become clots. Gross, eh? I really miss the trick and treaters from the neighborhood- the little guys, not the 19 year olds that come by to annoy the dogs at 9:30! Every year I buy the necessary bag of candy- I pretend I won't eat it because I try to buy candy I don't like but I haven't fooled myself yet- guess I am just too schmarrt.

Here are better pictures of the cow-girth measuring bracelets. i don't think the red one is finished yet- it needs edges of some new color so I'll keep my eyes open for colored tapes. I did manage to find some on eBay and etsy, but will wait for a country flea market to get the good kind, with text too.
If you turn them slightly you can read the whole thing

And another scarf has been finished, this one is alpaca made from leftover yarns from that sweater I made that's too hot to wear. I used up several of the colors on this, but have enough left to make another one I think so I'll take it to Florida with me for any imaginable 'down' time- like there is such a thing. I think this one will be for the Girl-Friend-In-Law. Sure hope she gets something else from a certain member of my family this year.

Remember the quail eggs? Here are the shells I've been saving, now I just have to figure out what to do with them. Even with a dozen, that won't cover much territory, but I think I can extend them with an ordinary brown egg or two (hopefully they wont' be too pink next to the spots) and do a picture frame or maybe another bracelet if I can find a cheap plastic one. Guess I will let them dry out even further until I come back in late January or February for my appointed rounds.
