You may be ready to disclose more about your personal feelings than usual, now that the Moon is moving through your sign. But this doesn't necessarily mean that everyone else wants to hear as much as you want to say. It's healthy for you to consider why you are sharing anything at all; if it's to develop a deeper friendship with someone special, then don't wait for a better time than today.
OK, so you don't want to hear what I have to disclose, maybe I need a deeper friendship too! Suck it up- I already think you are special. You must be to bother with the muse's waiting game lately.
BUT I managed to finish up several of my test pieces, just little 8" squares. And I got a few bigger 12" pieces ready to go when I return. Also, I took photos and transferred them to the computer so I could post them. But IN MY HASTE (sense the theme here?) I went off and left them in the studio computer so can't post till I get back next week.
See former paragraph for my explanation on why I don't have the Hudson River quilt posted here either. I took the bottom border off, re-sewed it so now it's good (ummm. OK, I admit I had sewn it on the first time in a hurry). And I also got the side plaid borders on. This is not a winner, but it's not a wiener either. We'll see where it goes. Now all I have to do is get a backing on, and I am trying like crazy to get it planned in my head before I tackle it in person. I am thinking I will face the sides and put binding just on the top and bottom. Sure hope I can find something for the back- my supply of large fabrics is getting sparse and I really want a print of some sort to hide my awful stitchin'.
So, yesterday I flew to Boston where I am cleaning the house from TY being here alone for 2 weeks after I left. I just pulled four bone remnants out of the couch cushions where Molly has been doing her own little brand of hoarding. There isn't anything to eat but a couple of hunks of misc. frozen things that have grown icy fur. I made coffee this morning that tastes stale and hideous, so had to grind up some beans, but the grinder's motor burned out. Fortunately there was just enough ground before the smoke started.
So, to celebrate:
Thankfully I am leaving in a bit to accomplish the mission of this trip- accompanying a 2 1/2 year old on her first Trick or Treat. She will be attended by her usual entourage of adults documenting her every twitch. I am wearing my annual Target Halloween tee shirt for the festivities- black (natch!) with a silver chandelier festooned with spiders. Party on. I guess I enjoyed Halloween a bit more when the sugar high was mine, not everyone else's. Sort of like having to go to a cocktail party when you don't drink. The Party Girl, always ready for a Trick or a Treat. Here she is a clown for her outing. She loved the glow-sticks. Whew. Also loved the Halloween stickers
Her Brother Elias, who is a definite chunk! Today we went on a hayride and it was enjoyed by all, especially when the wagon stopped for eerie sketches by local thespians along the way and they handed out candy. Damn, it was cold. Damn, my blood is thin. Damn, I have to come back here again in a few more weeks! Stopped on the way home at 8 PM for a box of sushi so I am feeling way better. I'll put up with the sushi to get at the pickled ginger...
