Bit Thinks Balance

Something to think about for all you hard-working traveling teachers out there:  Kim Kardashian makes 75K for a speaking engagement AND she doesn't have to pack a sewing machine or a trunk load of quilts to get there.  Also I bet she doesn't have to stay in the least expensive No-Tell Motel in town with vending machines for dinner.  What is wrong with this picture?  Don't we glitter and twitter enough?  Sometimes being smart isn't it's own reward!  Now I'm gonna go outside and flag down a Maybach to see if they will let me look inside behind the curtains...  closest I will ever get, IF I can get one to stop...

Notice, I have UPGRADED the ole blog again.  Where, you ask?  How, you query?  Well, take a gander up at the url and you will see my shiny brand new favicon I made last night from a bakelite button.  I know, you can't tell it's a button, but trust me- it's this one:
but ever so tiny

there's that line again, that means a change of mood is coming...

So I found this Tibetan throat singer guy in a Christmas sweater singing in front of a fake Christmas tree. The tune was indecipherable and unrecognizable but the guy was so enthusiastic...  I have tried to post three times and it won't work, sorry. BUT it got me looking at Jingle Bells videos and because I have nothing else to talk about I'm sharing them. You really haven't' missed anything with the throat singer, but you can do a search on YouTube for Jingle Bells throat singer if you are crazy bored enough to do that.  And lets face it, if you're here, you are!

So, because the throat singer is out to lunch (yak butter sandwich I'm sure) I have some substitutes:

A chorus!

Diana!

 Pretty Birds without a clue

Yeah, that's Frank!

OK, I quit, Here are the Victorias Secret models. Time to hang it up.

This is my fourth day in a  row of being too busy to get to the studio except that today Laurie is back and we WILL be there, though probably not for long when she sees the mess I am in.  Tuesday I bustled about trying to get to a meeting and then dealing with a bocce game we had scheduled.  Yes folks, our record is now 4/0 undefeated!  The ugly truth is that we have showed up at four scheduled games and never once as the other team bothered to cancel. Oh well, I'll take that winning (imaginary) trophy any way we can get it.  Wednesday I drove my friend with the broken arm down to Boca to grab some stuff from the nearest Crate and Barrel-  also did some rudimentary Christmas shopping and had tacos and sliders at a great little restaurant.  On Thursday I met Beverly-the-North (who is now officially Beverly-Mid-Atlantic) in West Palm to study the watercolor show at the Armory and discover that my favorite restaurant has closed.    I am so bummed, loved that place and the chef/owner was a Boston guy.  Hope he can pick up something better and soon!  We had to hunt down another place to eat and found lunch- lamb and feta on a pita with red pepper and crab bisque.  And today it's friend-time again-  THREE DAYS in a row I have been loafing and eating great lunches.  The other great thing that happened is Teddy sent me an envelope of 'stuff' for the Four Turkeys piece I'm working on.  And that gal has 'Stuff' (with a Capital!).  Cant wait to go pin it all up somewhere on the quilt and move it around until it finds it's home.  Time to hit the showers and put on my pants!  have a great Friday-
