Smoke Cling Rolled

Wahooo.  My day is made.  I have a quilt accepted into Fantastic Fibers 2012 at the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah.   It runs from March 31 through May 5th so it will be there for the big AQS weekend.  I haven't entered much lately and this is good news, especially with the company I am keeping.  The list of accepted quilts is here if you're interested.

And today I started a batch of short ribs ion the morning and scurried over to finish drilling out the 15 boxes.  And it's DONE.

I have a few stand-in plants in this one, but there will be mossy beds for them and an additional spray of miniature orchids (I think) coming out of the hidden glass vase.  Did I say FIFTEEN?  Yeah, that's right, fifteen of them.  Don't think I'll be going into this business any tome soon.

So for now, I am headed home to a plate of short ribs.  I used a bunch of the Ethiopian pepper that I got at the Green Market last weekend and also added tangerine rind and fennel, will throw in some purple and white carrots and some chopped olives when I get back.  The evening plan is to and sit and knit like a lady if my poor sore hands will allow it.  Then maybe a good cigar.

The cigar part was a joke.
