Derek Cowhide Condominium

You may feel isolated today, but this is a temporary phase so don't spend too much time worrying about it. However, if current circumstances do turn into a big deal, your sense of loneliness could be exaggerated. Consider what you can do to better your chances of success. Ironically, in the long run, honoring your ambitions will also help strengthen your relationships.

And that is my thought for the day.  Maybe I would go live in Iceland for the summer.  Maybe I would get some nips and tucks.  Maybe I would run off to the circus and sew costumes for Eastern Europeans.  Maybe  I would acquire a time machine that would take me back to the days when I could eat cake.

86 year old gymnast in Germany. Hell, it takes me 2 hours to be able to walk upright in the mornings!

ENOUGH of physical fitness, who wants to stand on their head and just eat salad?
But of course-  RESCUE SQUIRRELS!  According to my secret sources they have all been returned to the wild where they will probably starve to death waiting for the salad dressing to be delivered to their treehouse.
A Chair Sweater!  My LYS sent out an email about their class making chair sweaters.  I think this one is based on an Ikea chair.  Cute, but not something I need in South Florida.  And to show you one of the perks I do have down here, this tree is in the parking lot of my Crap Ooking store, and it's not even a giant one!  I adore Banyon trees and can't stop taking pictures of them:
You can see the hood of my car in this one-  I didn't' even get out (refer to above gymnast video)!  Anyway it seems that I need to take these pictures, have a whole pile of them tucked into iPhoto ready to use for something someday.  When I went to the Edison-Ford Museum over in Ft. Myers last fall I saw a Banyon that covered an ACRE!  Imagine!  It was apparently grown from a small tree that someone sent to Edison on his quest to make rubber.  It didn't work, needless to say.  His property was covered with different specimens that he tried, very interesting, but futile, work.

And finally, a necklace made of tiny scissors.  I love this, though I am not about to go into production any time soon. This was courtesy of MaryBeth who I have never met but seems to know me pretty well!  Wearing this I guess you could pretty much be safe from all those air kissers who come atcha!

Okey dokey, I have cleared a corner of my desktop with this picture dump today.  A few more and I will have a new shiny surface to clutter up again.  Stay tuned.  I am not doing anything newly arty these days, just trying to get through this spring's activities-  it gets very busy around here between Christmas and Easter, but my season has extended beyond because of the royal wedding coming up (it is much more important to me than the actual royal wedding!)  And I know it will be more fun!
