You know who you are...
Variation is key to creating interest in a painting: sharp and soft, cool and warm, dark and light... (Richard Robinson)
I certainly hope you enjoyed my list of birthday wishes I stuck at the bottom of yesterday's post. I havent taken advantage of any of the offers yet, which may shock and amaze you. Suck it up, I'll be happy to sit next to you and we can give blood together. I was seeing my regulars yesterday for a little stitch and bitch and lunch, but because so many people are gone we went straight to lunch and I celebrated with liverwurst, my favorite! Funnily enough there turned out to be 7 friends there, which is odd this time of the year and it was fun seeing so many. At the end of lunch out came a little CAKE and they all sang Happy Birthday to me and I blew out the candle (one!) and will apparently get my wish at some point. We all got little pieces and I mushed mine around and ate one bite. A woman at the next table came over to me and said she was cringing when she saw the cake come out, thinking it was from her husband for her, and was so happy the cake went right by to me- turns out it was her birthday too so I met a new pal for the shared b'day list.
Basically I just hung out with the furry guys the rest of the day, unpacked, did some paper work and great fun stuff like that. Then the three of us stayed up way late playing Draw Something and watching trash tv on the bed. Molly watches tv intently and reacts to any dog she sees, Pepper doesn't even notice the television. Good thing- two of them charging ever dog food ad would be dangerous.
And today it's back to work. Leonardo tells me:
Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation. For when you come back to your work, your judgment will be surer, since to remain constantly at work will cause you to lose power of judgment. So today my judgement will be surer, for surer, right? And that will keep me from getting a parrot (or any other bird!) in spite of the fact I want one, right? Thanks Liza, you know I love it.
Sunny seems to be wearing too much rouge, but she is right on pitch so I forgive her.
