ghastly idiomatic kaufman

Oh, how true.

"Art does not come from thinking, but from responding."   Corita Kent

Here we are at Sunday and I just picked up the patient from the hospital so now I turn into Nurse Ratchet.  I am sure he will be glad to list my shortcomings in the nursing department but I'm doin' my best. I got a good nights sleep last night and also got the little sleeves sewn on the next baby sweater so I just may finish it too-  sleeves had been started and found to be on wrong so it involved some 'fixing' and redoing but now it's OK.  I think the sleeves were the reason I abandoned this project and went on to the quilt debacle.  Who knows, I can't remember breakfast.

On second thought I DO remember breakfast-  three cups of coffee and a handful of cookie dough!  I really like dough more than the finished cookies, or perhaps I just can't wait for that part called baking.  Anyway, I have a pile of white chocolate chip/pecan cookies for the family that is arriving soon to check out the patient-  poke him till he squeals.  So, for now I'm going to work on these sleeves and see if I can get them done.

The condition he is in, I cannot imagine we will get out of here Saturday.

I'm doling out these little gems as I remember to, in no particular order:
INCOMPLETE MANIFESTO FOR CHANGE     Bruce Mau
Laugh.
People visiting the studio often comment on how much we laugh. Since I’ve become aware of this, I use it as a barometer of how comfortably we are expressing ourselves.

These plate arrangements are all at Anthropologie, and pretty darn pricey BUT I absolutely love them all.  The first and third have pieces of vintage oil paintings superimposed on the top of found plates, then it's all arranged and lined up with correct spacing of the painting on the wall.  The second and the fourth images are of complete continuous vintage etchings on plates before they are glazed.  Drool worthy, fershur, but there is a price tag to choke your rich uncle on these-  the last one was over $9000.  They will never see my walls, unfortunately.

Otagi Nenbutsu-Ji is a Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan that features over 1,200 stone figures representing Rakan, or disciples of Shaka (the founder of Buddhism), that were mostly carved by amateurs from across the country under the guidance of sculptor Kocho Nishimura. Each sculpture is a whimsical display of expressive faces, adding a playful element to the spiritual environment.

I feel for Nurse Ratchet. I cheerfully acknowledge that when I'm giving someone else a shot it don't hurt me in the least. Today I upended a tray with a plate of ravioli and a bowl of pineapple onto the carpet.

About that cookie dough, I once gnawed a whole log thinking to cure myself. If you read the ingredients somewhere down the list is "crack" .
